In 2025, Hermès takes a soft step forward in its evolving beauty journey with the introduction of Silky Lipstick Shine — a collection that brings the brand’s deep connection to material and memory directly to the mouth.

Created under the artistic direction of Gregoris Pyrpylis, the formula is more than a cosmetic gesture. It is an homage to silk in all its forms. Each lipstick draws inspiration from different textile textures — chiffon’s transparency, lamé’s high-shine finish, and the supple strength of Hermès silk twill. The result is a tactile, buildable lipstick that changes with light and touch.

The colors are subtle yet transformative. One swipe gives the lips a sheer balm-like tint. Two swipes create a polished veil of color. Three, pressed softly into the lips, leave a luminous stain with a lived-in quality. It is not about performance. It is about experience.

Pyrpylis speaks of childhood memories that shaped the idea — specifically the sensation of his mother’s silk scarf brushing against his face. The lipstick is designed to mirror that feeling: soft, delicate, and comforting, yet full of presence. It is not a product that demands attention, but one that creates intimacy.

The line includes fourteen shades, three of them limited. Each hue reacts to light in its own way. Beige Halo may appear neutral in shadow but sparkles with warmth under the sun. Rose Hacienda, inspired by South American landscapes, carries depth and brightness in equal measure. Even the application feels intentional — the slanted, oval shape allows for both freedom and control, echoing the house's balance between function and elegance.

Packaging is minimal but carefully refined. Refillable, slender, and weighted, the lipsticks come in newly designed canvas pouches that extend the tactile story beyond the object itself. And like every Hermès creation, the lipstick is not made to last forever on the skin. It is meant to be reapplied, re-experienced — a moment of luxury repeated without urgency.
