Luxury Historical Boutique Hotel | Video Interview
Our third and last stop in Rome is located among the most famous streets of Roman luxury shopping, inside a sixteenth-century noble palace designed by the famous architect Bartolomeo Ammanati: La Residenza Ruspoli Bonaparte.
It was within these walls that Emperor Napoleon III and his mother, the queen consort of Holland Ortensia di Beauharnais grew up, who commissioned the frescoes still present in the ceilings of the palace, with intense but delicate colors, in order to recreate a French atmosphere.
Inside the building there is a large staircase designed by Martino Longhi, once considered one of the "four wonders of Rome". This is made up of 100 steps, each of which consists of a single piece of marble over three meters in length. We can say that for guests, staying in a similar structure means taking a real leap into history, art, architecture, luxury, but also experiencing first-hand the life of the noble Italian families of the past.
These are the reasons that led the Ruspoli family to transform these rooms into a luxury Boutique Hotel.
There are four exclusive suites: Depandance Napoleone, Regina Ortensia Bonaparte, Princess Pia, Emperor Bonaparte.
They are located at the bottom of the splendid staircase, adorned with statues depicting important historical figures.
We had the honor and the pleasure of being welcomed by Princess Maria Pia Ruspoli and her daughter, Princess Giacinta. Both were the maximum expression of cordiality, education and elegance. Princess Maria Pia told us the history of the structure and some anecdotes and details of its past, which make the stay in these refined suites even more fascinating.
The welcome and hospitality are essential values that the property embraces, many travelers who have enjoyed the unique opportunity to stay in this Palace, carry with them the beautiful memory of having had the opportunity to converse with Princess Maria Pia herself, always available to make the history of the residence better known to its guests.
We do not want to reveal everything, we leave you now to our photo reportage and the video interview with Princess Maria Pia Ruspoli.
